Joel Peterson, who curated the Bohemian National Home in Detroit and has for the past few years been booking shows at various places as Bohemian National Home in exile, has a new space!
Joel says:
"After three and a half years, we've finally acquired a new building to resume full-time programming! It's 1464 Gratiot- formerly Butcher & Packer- located in Detroit's Eastern Market. We'll also have a cafe open regular hours, a gallery (of course), and some symbiotic businesses sharing the space. Although not as charming as the Bohouse, it's large and flexible, with some real potential that we hope to draw-out in the coming months."
This is really exciting news! Congrats!
ALSO we heard that UFO FACTORY has a new spot as well! UFO and the Bohemian house were two really amazing spaces I've greatly missed in the years since they were having shows - excited to see what's next!
